Cheqbrick Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 9, 2026

Cheqbrick is provided by Bricks Marketing LLC. Contact us about privacy or your account at [email protected].

Information we use

We process your email address, account identifier and display name to authenticate you and provide your workspace. We store the equipment details, serial numbers, locations, bundles, reservations and inspection notes that you choose to enter. Workspace members can see the information available to their assigned role. Other customers cannot access your workspace simply by registering an account.

Authentication passwords are handled by our authentication provider. The iPhone app stores its refresh token in the iOS Keychain on your device. Signing out removes that local token. Our servers and hosting providers also process ordinary connection and security information, such as IP addresses, request times and failed requests, to deliver and protect the service.

Camera and device permissions

Camera access is optional and used only when you choose to scan equipment. QR and barcode recognition happens on your device. We do not upload the camera video or take a copy of your photo library for scanning. You can decline camera access and search by asset code instead. This release does not request your contacts, microphone, precise location or advertising identifier.

Purposes and providers

We use this information to provide sign-in, inventory management, availability checks, reservations, inspections, customer support and security. We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Supabase provides the shared authentication and database infrastructure, with the current database hosted in Mumbai, India. Cloudflare delivers the website and protects its traffic. Amazon Web Services provides authentication email delivery. These providers process information to operate the service. Access may involve processing outside your country. The iPhone app contains no advertising SDK.

Account deletion and retention

To request deletion, contact [email protected] from the email address on your account. The iPhone app will also offer deletion under Settings when released. A recent sign-in and explicit confirmation protect against accidental deletion. The process removes your Cheqbrick profile information and workspace access. Content in private workspaces that you created and that have no other members is erased from live records. The remaining structural records contain placeholders instead of your equipment details, names and notes.

Equipment and reservation records in a workspace shared with other people belong to that workspace and remain available to its members. Your profile is shown as Deleted member. This preserves other people's equipment and custody records. Contact us if personal information in shared content also needs removal.

A login used only for the public Cheqbrick service is anonymized by the authentication provider. A pre-existing Bricks staff login is preserved for other Bricks services; its Cheqbrick profile and access are removed. Deleting Cheqbrick does not delete Roster or other Bricks business accounts.

Security and deletion-completion records are retained only as needed to protect the service and demonstrate fulfillment of the request. Backups are subject to the infrastructure provider's retention cycle and are not used to restore a deleted account into active use. Contact us for requests about backup copies or information that must be retained by a workspace owner or by law.

Your choices

You can access your own inventory in the app, correct recorded information, control camera permission in iPhone Settings, sign out and request account deletion. Contact us to request a copy or correction of personal information or to exercise other privacy rights available in your jurisdiction. We may verify that you control the account before fulfilling a request.

Cheqbrick is intended for people managing their own equipment or acting with authority for an organization. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.

Changes

We will update the date on this page when this policy changes. Material changes to how information is used will be explained through the service before taking effect where required.
